Shows at Leger and Burlington, to which he added a controversial Expressionist picture at Swindon Art Gallery in 1943, Redfern Gallery and RA and a solo exhibition at Peter Jones Gallery, 1944. Henry Moore won him a place at Chelsea School of Art, where he studied life drawing under Ceri Richards. |
