| Biography
Gillian Thain 1925-1999. Married to artist James Stroudley. Thain studied at St Martins School of Art 1945-1951, studing painting and wood engraving under Gertrude Hermes and Clifford Webb. Art teacher for the I.L.E.A and also worked as a freelance textile designer. She practised as a printmaker, where upon she sold her works to the National Library and Museum of Wales. Her works were also shown and sold in London galleries, including Royal Academy summer exhibitions. |
