Peter Lowe

Lowe was born 1938, at Victoria Park, Hackney; London.  He studied at Goldsmiths' College 1954-60 where he was taught by Mary and Kenneth Martin.  Lowe's work is rational, abstract and geometric.  In 1960 he constructed and exhibited his first geometric reliefs and experimented with balanced transformable works.  In 1972 he cofounded the Systems group and since 1974 he has been a member of Arbeitskreis.
